#Pickoftheweek: KKNK (8 – 15 April 2017)
The Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees is returning to Oudtshoorn yet again in 2017 and we cannot wait to join the fun at this multi-platform arts festival. The organisers have made sure that they cater for everyone with the diversity of all of their events. You’ll be able to catch performance theatre, music, art, concerts and kids activities.

2. Autumn Beer Festival (8 April)
Jack Black’s Brewing Co. are inviting you to join their very first beer festival at their newly open to the public brewery. This festival will see some of Cape Town’s best loved breweries come together for a day of un-beer-lievable fun. You’ll be able to grab beers from Lakeside Beerworks, RIOT Beer, Afro Caribbean Brewing Co. and plenty of more.

3. Infecting the City (5 – 8 April)
This one is for everyone in Cape Town; Infecting the City is a totally free multi-art performance festival that is set to take over the city this weekend. This year is the 10th edition and you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the festival as it starts on Wednesday, 5 and only ends on Saturday, 8 April 2017. This festival fuses fashion, art, theatre and performance.

4. A Night at the Opera (8 April)
Benguela on Main in Somerset West is hosting an event made for the opera fan in you. They’re hosting a delicious five-course menu accompanied by the sensational voice of Shaza Greef, and no doubt washed down with some amazing local wines. Benguela on Main is renowned for their next-level food, and you will just have to see (and taste) it to believe it.

5. The Eden Experience: Botanic Dreams (8 April)
This event marks the very last Eden Experience of the year, and boy-oh-boy they’re going out with a bang! Botanic Dreams will go down at Zevenwacht Wine Estate in Kuils River and the organisers have pulled out the big guns for their season finale. You’ll be treated to Krash! Live, Syzo, Dane Stirrat and more at this one day experience.

6. Whisky Live Festival (6 – 8 April)
We all love whisky, and if you don’t then you’ll learn to after this stellar event. The annual Whisky Live Festival sees some of the world’s greatest whiskies come together for a swirling, tasting, laughing good time at The Lookout in Granger Bay. What festival would it be without food and music? Well, you’ll never need to find out because Whisky Live has both!

7. Mahali The Night Market (7 April)
This new take on the creative showcase will challenge your notions of festival, market and exhibit as it combines them all into one night of creative excitement. Mahali will boast local musicians, artists, brands and designers all of which will mix and mingle at the Palms Decor and Lifestyle Centre in Woodstock for one night only.
