This up-and-coming music festival is making waves in the Cape Town summer scene. This year is there biggest yet, with two stages featuring incredible live acts. The festival is headlined by US-based indie/electro band Pillowtalk. The event has all the makings of a music festival—beautiful people, music, booze, and food—but it must be the one around where you can also get involved in wakeboarding and skiing. You can also expect art installations,  a salsa dancefloor, a gin mixology bar, and an open-air cinema.

Toy Run

3_Nov_2017_8

The Toy Run is South Africa’s largest motorcycle ride, and it’s all for charity. Anyone with a bike can participate, provided they bring at least one toy to donate to needy children in South Africa. Tens of thousands of bikes rally together every November, laden with toys, and they ride through the city to the collection point at Maynardville. The toys are then distributed to charities in need. Even if you don’t have a bike, you can donate toys to the cause, or buy a ticket to attend the main event arena and enjoy the bar, live music, and festive atmosphere. Check their website for details.

When: 26 November
Where: Main event arena is at Killarney International Raceway, Potsdam Road, Table View
