SWARTKOP
Further afield, above the Boulders Beach and Seaforth area is a fantastic hike up to the blockhouse and further on to the top of Black Hill/Swartkop which is the big mountain above Boulders – it’s almost 600m high. a Fantastic hike in Simon’s Town.
VIEW FROM SWARTKOP
Park near the corner of Jan Smuts Drive and Churchill. The walk begins there at the dirt road leading up the hill. It bends to the right and then further on to the left. Do not take the left bend but continue on the smaller path straight ahead. This path then bends to the left and continues up the mountain through some gorgeous fynbos to the blockhouse. From there it is signposted to Swartkop. Round trip is around 2 to 3 hours.
